We don't know much, but we do know wedding confetti! Here's our most frequently asked questions.
How much confetti do I need for 80 guests?
For impactful photos, a mix of 100 to 160 handfuls (400 to 640g) of paper confetti is ideal. Some couples opt a 1:1 guest:handful ratio if they prefer a more delicate confetti moment.
How much confetti do I need for an elopement?
Two confetti cannons, one of each of you! If you’re also taking a few guests to witness your ceremony, then you could arm them with confetti cannons too. This gives you an amazing confetti photo with just a few people!
What type of wedding confetti should I buy?
For high-impact wedding photographs without a detrimental environmental impact, biodegradable paper confetti circles are perfect. These are available in many colours, and some in heart-shapes, so there's no need to compromise on aesthetics whilst considering the environment.
Many photographers and planners recommend large paper circles as these show up very well in photographs, fall slowly and are relatively easy to clean up.
What wedding confetti colours are popular?
White and Ivory are the confetti colours that we see ordered most frequently. In 2024, we've also seen lots of red, pink and orange mixes and for 2025 lots of couples are opting for wildflower pastel shades.
How much confetti do you actually need?
It depends on your wedding size and how big you want your confetti moment to be! We have a full guide to help you decide how much confetti to order, but the short answer is that most of our customers order 140-200 handfuls of confetti, and most orders include 4-6 confetti cannons too.
How many confetti cannons do I need?
Get one cannon for each member of your bridal party; this is a fun job for them after the serious task of the ceremony, and it will mean your photos are full of confetti.
Many couples also buy two or four extra cannons for their first dance or another dance floor moment, so you may want to plan this into your schedule.
When should I buy my wedding confetti?
Two to three months in advance, if you're ordering a premium blend of wedding confetti to be made bespoke for your wedding.
How many confetti cones should I get?
None! Confetti cones can cause issues in your photos if guests use them to throw your confetti. It's preferable to ask guests to take a handful of confetti from a large box or basket as they leave your ceremony, to avoid the unnecessary waste and ensure you get the perfect confetti photos. Plus, it's one less wedmin task for you to do before the big day.
